Couldnt pass up buying a 96 1500 with 110 miles on it,idles fine and easy throttle is greay....but stomp it and it sputters at 3500 rpm and wont go over unless you let off the pedal some.I checked the fuel pressure and its at 52 psi,but bleeds down to 10 psi as soon as you turn the key off.pulled the upper and all the lines appear to be fine."no leaks".anyone have any ideas?

Could be the fuel pressure regulator. They go out relatively frequently.

I thought about that,a few people say its the pump, that the pressure needs to be 60/66 psi.Just wanted to make sure before I spent the money on the pump.Guess thats were I will start is with the regulator.
