I have a 93 GMC Suburban 1500 5.7 350 engine and it seems the timing chain broke. I tried turning it on yesterday and it sounds like a bunch of metal clinking around on the front of the engine. It has 313,000 miles without a new engine or rebuild :great: It ran like a champ for years but now I am looking to get a used engine for a quick swap. What other vehicles uses the same truck engine or can I just pick up any 350 and throw it in?

I replaced the engine in my 87 Blazer with a GM crate motor and that mmotor was used from 1987-1994 so it should be within those years with the Throttle body injection.
