Help understanding duramaxes since I am looking for one.

    I have no means of plugging it in because im at college in the dorms

    Bummer... maybe someone on here will chime in with some knowledge.

    If you have a bad glow plug or two, etc..., less power would be being drawn after initial key, when your glow plugs are being activated. The only way to see if you have too high of an amperage draw on your batteries when your key is off, "draining them down" would be to do a parasitic drain test. you need a meter or tool able to read amps with and amp clamp. hope this helps.
