Help with the rubber floor mat/covering in the Silverado WT's?

I originally posted this over in the Silverado section, but I think this is a better place for it. My '07 Silverado Classic WT got T-boned, so I just bought a '13 Silverado 1500 WT. Nice truck with a lot of improved features over my older truck. But there's one thing that's driving me nuts! The rubber floor covering (no carpet) in this truck is softer and padded underneath and my wife has already punched about 5 divots in it with her heel taps. I bought rubber mats but they don't completely cover the floor...and telling her to not wear heels is apparently not an option. I never had this problem in my older truck - in fact, the rubber flooring looked as good after 5 years as the day I bought it. Am I the only person with this issue? Is there any way to pull these divots back out?
