I have a 95 GMC 1500 Sierra 4x4 5.7 auto with a problem when reversing in 2WD . It idles back ok but if the excelerator is used the 4x4 stick oftens jumps to neutral with a ( CLANG ) Any ideas? GMC knowledge in Australia is as rare as hens teeth!!! It changes smoothly though all forward gears. It has 195000 Klm on the clock.

G'day, and welcome to the GMTC.

Sorry to hear about your problems. May I suggest you start an entirely new thread with your problem in the Powertrain Discussion Forum. You will get a lot more responses as opposed to having it in the Members Introduction forum.

    Good luck with your issue!

Welcome Mate, hope we can provide some much needed service to your area with the GM site. Post a thread, but also check the site to see if anything is close to your problem, appears to be a reverse issue and your 2wd/4wd switch.....Check connections to tranny and transfer case, then up to the dash switch...
