How can you freshen up the alternator?

    You're welcome. I am just a regular car guy and just trying to learn without breaking stuffs. LOL. I have a day job but can still find time to tinker on weekends. It's my stress reliever.

    In the future, disconnect the ground on the battery before playing with the alternator. You won't throw sparks then and make the situation much safer!

    Yes, it is my stress reliever as well. Working with my hands tends to relax me.

    That is very true.

    I just did not want any surprises from disconnecting the negative cable. I will lose all radio presets and who knows what else.
