HVAC controls

    Hi guys, my heater controls stoped working, the fan part only works on 5, when i put it on 4,3,2,1the fan shuts off, do i have to replace the controls? thanks in advance.

    It's usually not the control head, but the resistor on the blower motor... It's a semi-common thing with GM's...

    ^^^^ X2, its the resistor, cheap fix.

    This is amazing. My '96 k1500 started doing the same thing last month. I was about to go and have the control head replaced but thought it weird that it would only work on 5. You guys rule!! I'm gonna pick one up from CLASSIC PARTS. Thanks again.

    what year truck is ? Some of the later model gm's have an electronic resistor thatt goes bad and most of the time takes the connector with it.
