I need help choosing a lift

    i have a 98 silverado 4wd and im looking for a 2-3 inch lift i have 265's on it now looking to go 285's either way i think im getting bfg a/t idk if its even worth going bigger but i still want to get the lift. i was looking at the tough country lift with keys and add a leafs and shocks http://www.suspensionconnection.com/cgi-bin/suscon/12923-silverado-lift-kit-large.html or http://www.roughcountry.com/chevy_4wd_88-98_2-3.html the only thing is my truck is level rite now stock and idk if the tough country lift will bring the whole truck up enough. also i found a truck by me getting sold for parts and its a Z71 should i buy the skidplates from the guy? thank you for all your help. .logan

    skidplates are good if you do some good wheeling so i would go for it if you do. and I would say go with the rough country kit

    I loved them on the GMC in everything but sticky thick mud, but the weight of the truck didnt help that either. they were great in the snow, sand, and other dirt/mud i had them on and i never got stuck with em. Goodyear has started to make a new MTR tho and I dont think they are making the older ones anymore. However, I heard the new ones are supposed to be even better.
