A must read for anyone using additives in their fluids.

Inadequate Demonstration Using Hand-Held Tests and Aftermarket Oil Additives

The FTC has accused multiple aftermarket additive manufacturers
with misleading consumers into believing their products
can offer extra protection when added to motor oils. The list
    of companies includes Prolong2, Slick 503, ZMax4, Duralube5,
Shell Castrol6 and Valvoline7. In the Prolong case, the FTC
specifically pointed out the use of “Friction Test Machine
    Demonstration” as a deceptive act2.

    Good finds.

I do have to say that because you are and Amsoil vendor it may look a little biased. But since I run Amsoil in my truck my view may be biased too.

    Thanks for the info

Switched to Amsoil this year and I will never switch back.

Cool. Personally I've never found a need to use any engine oil additives, but it's good they're finally cracking down on that stuff.

That is from the Federal Trade Commission not AMSOIL (read the links). One thing I would like add though is I do believe AMSOIL is the only lubrication company that has never been accused of false advertising. Everything that AMSOIL publishes is backed up by proof, not claims.
