Intake Gasket or something else

I have a 94 suburban and I noticed that it has antifreeze leaking down the back of the engine and there is a small pool sitting on top of the intake. I was thinking that this was a sign that the intake gasket needed to be replaced and I was preparing to have this done. However, when I check the oil there doesn't seem to be any antifreeze getting in my oil at all. Could this be something different? does the antifreeze ALWAYS mix with the oil when the intake gasket is leaking?

Its most lilely the intake gasket and it wont always get in the oil. But dont stop at theintake gasket, Do a full gasket replacement. If the intake is failing and was the original gasket chances are that the head gaskets may not be to far behind. Its just good to do them now while you have the intake off, because if you have the head gaskets go then it will be time saved and money saved as well as you may have to redo the intake gasket.

Alright this is probably way off base, but I just had my 2001 S-10 coolant leak fixed last week. The passengers side of my motor was soaked with Prestone, and we thought that it was also a head gasket. Well it turned out that the thermostat gasket was shot, so we replaced that which was a super cheap fix and it worked. I also had a puddle on top of the intake plenum, I hope that it isn't something to serious for you.
