Ok i know the title is a really stupid one. Im looking to buy a KC highlite light bar for the front of my truck but they only show 1 for the HD 2008 body style. It mounts right next to the tow hooks and still leave them available for use. Is there a difference in the 4x4, and HD tow hooks or is the frame were there mounted the same.

I believe they are the same on the newer models, but an easy way to see is call the dealer, or even a parts shop, and see if they show the same model number on the part for both models.

The HD model is typicalle 2500 and 3500. Some 1500 models are HD. All HD trucks have 8 lug wheels. I would not think that the frame is the same from 1500 to the 2500 model. But call the dealer and find out. Let us know what they say.

my understanding is that the HD has a 8 inch wide frame and the none HD have a 6 inch frame....

I had a 2005 2500HD that I had bought a bull bar for, but I ended up trading the truck before I got to put it on. I turned around and bought a 2005 1500, the frame rails are not the same because I had to modify the brackets in order to get them to fit. My bull bar was from Westin and they listed two different numbers for the 2500 & 1500, at least I was able to make it work instead of losing $400!
