Just installed a new fuel tank

    Hi everyone,

I have a 1996 GMC Suburban K1500 with the 5.7L, the original fuel tank rusted out on me and I just installed the brand new tank. Everything is connected back together, all I need to do is put some fuel in and see if it'll start up.
My question is how much fuel should I need to add to a completely empty tank before it'll reach the fuel pump? I looked in the old tank and it looks like there's a pretty high baffle the fuel pump sits inside of.

    Thanks for your help.
