Ok so this seems a little odd and hopefully i can describe it correctly. My 95, K1500 has had a noise coming from behind the glove box for quite some time now. It sounds like something is opening and closing...maybe a damper? What ever it is it cycles ever 10-15 seconds. Any thoughts?

Sounds like your blend door is acting up. This is the baffle for directing the flow of air to the dash, defrost, or floor.

Yep sounds like the actuator has had it. Time for a new one.

ok thanks for the info. I looked on the chilton site in this forum and in my haynes book and couldnt find anything on the blend door. Do you know if its located in the air distrabution duct below the glove box? I'd like to narrow down the area since i have no idea where it is.

    Thanks
