Knock sensor code

    I keep getting knock sensor code on my 96 chevy k1500 ive replaced knock sensor and cant keep the code from comming back any clue what i can do to fix....

    When does the code set? If it sets the instant you turn the key on you have an electrical problem. If it sets during operation it just means the sensor is working and it sets a code anything it hears a knock. Some things that will set a knock sensor code are:

    Pinging from poor fuel, Vacuum leak causing a lean condition and knocking
    Also fan belt, tensioner, pulleys, lifters, exhaust leaks, and even a boom box can all cause a knock sensor code.
