    Hi guys new guy here

Testing my trailer light today and found out my left side doesnt work on the trailer. Tried to trace it to front off the truck but lost it. Is there a way to test the wiring from under the hood? Hopeing to take care of this today going up north tomarrow for the big week end

    Thanks Joe

What truck? Some have fuses for the trailer wiring under hood...

Steve could very well be correct. On from around 2000 on up trucks, there are separate trailer light fuses in the underhood fuse panel for left and right trailer lights.

Looking at the Haynes manual diagram for 2000 yukon and there is indeed a seperate fuse for front, back, left and right stop/tail/turn but these are for vehicle lites only and does not indicate a trailer connector assocciated with them. It does show a TRL PRK FUSE 15A and only notes that it's for "trailer wiring provision" located in the underhood bussed electrical center.
