Would a 6" lift work? Or would I have to get a body lift on top of the 6?
It depends...what vehicle are you wanting to put the 37's on?
Sorry I meant to say, it would be on a 2009 1500.
the suspension parts are typically weak on the 1500's and over 35 arent recommended. But you might be able to fit them with minor to no trimming or rubbing. Not too sure on the 09's
Well there in lies the issue. 1500 or 2500? We don't have the truck yet, but I'm pricing out how much everything would be with the lfit tires and other mods we want to do. So what say you folks?
I have a 2004 1/2 ton and a 6in Sky Jacker lift and bushwacker cut out fender flairs and
36 in Super Swamper SX and they barely fit they rub a little.
Anything above 35's on the 1500 is overstressing your axles. If you have to have 37's I would go with the 2500. Plus a 6 inch lift on a 1500 will not clear 37's.
i have a 2004 1500 and i have a 6" suspension and a 3" body and my 37's still scrub sometimes
K1500s (1/2tons) dont really like anything over a 35. Rear axles and half shafts break. Alot of people do run 37s on there 1/2tons but they will break eventually. All the customers that we warned not to run 37s on there 1/2tons said they should have listened (when we handed them there bill for fixing there trucks).
got an 8" lift with 37's....looks like I can fit more....
