I'm looking to keep my 2001 LT 1500 Suburban 4wd another 2 years. It's been a great vehicle- we've spent many vacations traveling Colorado, NM, and Texas in it. It's been across Engineer Pass in Colorado at 12,000 feet- no small task.

I hope to use this forum to get some tips on maintenance to keep it in top shape. It has 84,000 miles. I'd like to replace all brake parts and upgrade/replace shocks. Also looking for tips on tune-up and other engine maintenance items.

    Welcome to the club!

I just did a tune up on my 2001 S-10, and I wanted to go with all of the MSD stuff but the mechanic said to stick with the AC Delco stuff and it is running like new now! I also bought a set of 4 Edelbrock IAS shocks for the same truck, but I will be putting them on next summer. I am sure you will find some great ideas from the guys on here, see ya round...............AMY

Dang dude yours has lower miles than mine, and mines a 2001 too lol, I did a few things when it hit 100K, flush the tranny oil, differential oil, coolant, changed the pcv valve, alota people over see that, the suspension things like bushings and all that, fuel pump goes out like at 100K on our years, brakes all around, polish and resurface, clean the injectors, spark plugs shoulda been done before 100K lol, alot of the things can be done at home! there pretty easy
