I'm new here, never really had a problem i couldn't figure out, until now. The instrument cluster lights quit working. so i took it out, tested the bulbs, found one was burnt out, replaced, still doesn't work. All the interior lights work. all the exterior lights work, radio works, abs, seatbelt, check engine etc... work. Don't know if those are on a different ground, or if they are where that would be. Any suggestions, or comments would be greatly appreciated. this is on a 96 silverado 1500

Try the dimmer switch... You might have accidentally turned in down...

yeah the dimmer or a taillight fuse being blown will cause your dash lights to go.

Thank you. It was the parking lamp fuse that was blown. I just assumed that since the illumination fuse was good it was something else.
