loss of power

    ok so what would cause a 99 5.3l silverado to loose power, sputter and back fire but not throw a warning light. its fine one min bad the next any ideas

    im thinking it could be your ignition system,it might not be burnning all the gas in the chambers

    How old is your fuel filter? It seems to that a clogged filter would do something like what you have described.

    it ended up being my fuel pump

    What does this mean ..not trying to be smart or anything just wondering??

    Usually fuel related if no light..but run it long enough you will get a light.
    Hard to diagnose a vehicle these days without a code .
