I now own a clean straight 93 1500 with trany issues.. The two bolt piece that attaches to the frame and the linkage rotates in is missing, I cannot buy this thing anywhere but salvage? And how do I know how to identify the type of trany I have, Id number?

You have a 4L60E. You should be able to get your missing linkage from any 1500 suburban or pickup from the mid 80s all the way up to 95 or so. They haven't changed that linkage in a long time that I know of.
