A friend of mine has to replace the milti-function switch on the turn signal lever. While shopping around for the best price he is getting a large range of prices(from$60 to $350) and all kinds of conflicting information about the part. He has been told that a part that does not specify tilt steering will work and others say it wont. He has Tilt, and all of the other normal functions. Could someone offer some good information on what part he needs and where is the most economical place to purchase it. He has a 1998 Silverado Z71,5.7L k1500 air, ps pb. Thanks for any help.

The tilt wheel one has a guard for the wiring that runs down the column otherwise there really isnt a difference. And if you keep the guard that is in the column in place you should be good to go.
