After looking everything over pretty thoroughly today, I decided to buy a 1974 Triumph Spitfire. Its partially disassembled at the moment, but everything is there to put it back together. I'm going to pay for it and pick it up on Saturday, and my hope is to have it running and drivable by mid July.

Here are the pictures from the ad. I will put more up once I get it.

The first thing to do (aside from putting the transmission back in and getting it running) is to paint the wheels silver. There's too much blue happening there.

That looks like fun PM. How about test drives for all of us when you're done? :)

Nice! but as Tim Allen said to Jill in Home Improvement... "It's British!"... I remember as a kid in England my Mom drove a Triumph 2000 saloon,(that's a sedan to you Yankees). Good luck on getting it going again, I always liked the Spitfires although my favorite was the Stag.

Looks good! I really like the white roof, it's a nice contrast to the blue paint.
