Need to paint the comp side black and throw some mud on it so it will blend in.
Even get to use the stock airbox :)

Got the feed and drain ready.
The pan is made from some weird aluminum i know that much. some kinda soft cast?
    it sucked to weld haha

Went ridin 4wheelers and shooting stuff the other night, got home bout 2:30am and started on the turbo. 8am come around so i caught a nap. Started back on it and finally got finished.
Wideband is acting ignorant so i only got the tune halfway close.

    So Well well well. ......
Figured out how to make the stock airbox work.

I was expecting quite a bit of lag, but its better than the remote mount was. And sounds Amazing!!
Now to wait on the new wideband and finish hookin up the meth controller and stuff.

Oh and By the way, adding water to the W/A Intercooler helps alot!!!

Without water IATs were about 135-145ish.. Added water and the TVS HX, IATS are Ambient or within 5*..

Well the horrificly loud wastegate had to go. I knew that before i even put the turbo on.
Towed the tahoe home and it got old fast!!

Went by the exhaust shop and showed the guy what i was plannin on doin. 2 min he had the 1.75" pipe bent and got a peice of 2" and made me a turn down. He threw in a muffler for free. I got out of there for $20.
Welded it on tonight and used a stock hanger on the center support cross member.
Lets just say this thing is silly quiet!!
5.2# boost and the turbo is barely workin so you can hear the compressor a lil.
    Perfect, just what i wanted.

5psi in the heat of the summer and no water in the intercooler and short shifting.

I had the turbo on for about 2 months here and the first trip back to the 1/4 mile i had a kid in a mustang that wanted to run me. He even waited till i had bolted on the drag radials haha.. the metalic whine you hear for the first couple seconds is the first gear in the 80E talking.

    Thanks guys.

I work at Motion Industries so I get all that stuff from work. My SMC sales rep is awesome.

I have my helper bags all run in 1/4" poly with smc PTC fittings.
    What ya lookin for.

Very clean professional OEM looking installation
Especially underneath-HUGE exhaust pipes-very cleanly installed
Heck they look almost like stainless steel-guess new steel looks like stainless
The engine bay-really OEM looking-doesn't look "added on" the way turbo kits normally do.

How in the world are you managing to not get detonation with 25 psi of boost-or even 15 psi of boost??
You have stock pistons right- 9.4/1(on my 5.7 guessing a bit more on your 5.3??)
You must blow in plenty of extra fuel-do you use methanol like your unlikely buddy??

Yeah-how do you tolerate all that boost?? Just 92-93 octane pump gas right- no additive ??
    Great looking install

Mine had negative timing so it was no problem.. my 6.0 is 9.4:1 on the CR and at the track i use Pure Methanol. Sunoco M1 i think it is, 99% methanol. The 100% methanol was alot higher for the 55gal drum.

Im spraying a DO7, DO10, and a DO14 nozzle which comes out to somewhere around 33 gallons per hour and i think they are rated at 100psi. My pump is 200psi.. it will suck methanol down like its free. and for towin i turn it down as low as it will go on the ramp rate.

The AFR above 4000rpms and in boost is 11.2, thats from 5psi to 15.. 25 was a accident but i had the tune setup to save the engine incase of overboost.

Here is what im working on at the moment.

Ive built a stainless water reservior for my intercooler.. and ive been thinking on what to do.

    here is my plan

goin to mount this transmission cooler in the lower 1/4 of the tank and run the AC lines to it so it will chill the water.

Wow-you literally fire spark AFTER TDC?
Wow I didn't realize that was done-sure makes sense.

You cam put 99% methanol in your tank for track
    then pump in regular gasoline-
    do you have to
"tell" the ECM I'm using methanol or I am using 87 octane now
or does your ECM do that automatically??
Your injectors are BIG enough to pump methanol-not STOCK are they??
Yeah this truck NOT STOCK- looks stock-until you pop hood
    guessing it doesn't sound stock!
