i got a 84 gmc suburban..305ci with a valve tick when its cold but gos away after it warms up but it is starting to get really loud and im thinking its a cloged oil hole or sumthin to that valve.
the previous owners never realy changed the oil so maybe its all the old chunks of built up gunk.
anyways if theres a quick fix for it i could use the advice

You could try some seafoam in the oil, and possibly down the intake per seafoams directions. that might help to clean things out.
