Hi! I'm new to the forum. I have a 2005 Suburban 2500 with the 8 lug 16in wheels and 245/75R16 tires. Would like to add a larger tire to fill-up the wheel well better. What tire size would you recommend? It's my wife's car so I do not want to go too crazy. Here's a picture of what we have now.

your 245/75 comes in at about 30.5 inches. (overall)
315/75R16's will put you about 34.5 inches. (but could be too fat to fit in wheel well. may rub while turning.)
285/75R16's will put you about 32.8 inches.

Tire rack has an excellent resource for tire info. Enter the tire size you're interested in, and it will give you prices on different brands of that size. Or you can search by brand, or even typical use of the tire. You can usually find good prices there too. Only draw back is that you'll need to get your own mount, and balance. Once you find the tire or brand you're interested in, you can click on "specs" over by the price, and it will give you all the details of the tire, load rating, size, width, weight...etc.

Myself, I bought my last tires for my suburban there. I got a set of 265/75R16 Kumho AT's, mostly because they had the best rating for snow handling of all the major brands.
