I need to put in a new fly wheel. I have dropped many transmissions but never with a 4x4...Im wondering if there is anything more to it than just taking off some bolts and dropping it. Do I need to aline anything a certain way when I put it back together. Somebody please help my fly wheel is cracked and I dont have much time before it gernades.

as far as i know there shouldnt be unless maybe your doing something with the transfer case. And if its an automatic its called a flex plate just so u get the right part.

X2, everything is pretty much the same... unbolt, remove, repair, install, bolt back in..

Grab a tire crayon and mark the position of all the drive shafts so they go back in the same positions, that's always prudent. Probably best to drop the transfer case first though it may be possible to slide 'em both back w/ a good trans jack...

You have some extra stuf but it shouldn't be overwhelming since you have already done some trans work in your past...
