New alternator for 2010

  1. Whats up everyone .. I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get a new stronger alternator for 2010 5.3 silverado .. Direct fit if possible ,.. Just looking for more power for my stereo

    If you look on line . you will find many higher amp models. problem you want to avoid is getting one that requires a different belt pulley ,mount.

    with a high powered amp you need in most cases two batteries and larger guage wire. all connections/connectors to be soldered. 12 volts requires very large sized copper wire. also a big capacitor at the amp power input. large wire including all ground wires.

    your vehicle uses about 70amps with all electricals on . now add your amps power demand. then add 20% .that is what you need.
