New Cam in a 5.3L '03 silverado

    Does anyone mabey have any ideas or thoughts or comments on a new cam the i can put in my silverado? It just kinda crossed my mind and i really dont know much about it but would like to learn some. Thanks!

    Well man it goes like this if it is not broke dont fix it it. You start making more power you are going to start breaking other things.

    But if you want to make more power put underdrive pully's on it and headers to start

    The new Gen. LS type motors respond very well to a performance camshaft. First find a shop that works on these motors all the time, then I'd call CompCams for a came recommendation. I have a CompCam # 54-408-11. It works great, has lots of bottom end grunt which is what I wanted because my truck is 4X4 with 35" tires. I changed my cam myself over a weekend ( about a day total work time).
