New carb for my 77 K20?

Hey all. Just did a tune up on my K20 and noticed the quadrajet might be missing a few parts. (Linkage to Secondary butterfly) A few other things too. Would it be smarter to get into A 600/650cfm Edelbrock or Holley to help with fuel mileage and performance or should I just rebuild the stock carb? Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks.

I swapped out the Q-Jet in my 78 GMC for a 670cfm Holley Truck Avenger and don't regret it abit. It actually improved mileage a bit and added torque on the low end. Oh, and tuning the Holley was much easier then the Q-Jet.

Sounds good. Ive heard a swap would be in my best interest. If I do a new intake is on the list next. Thanks
