I have a 1998 Chevy truck K1500 4X4 5.0 and I have a question regarding lift kits. I want to put either a 38 inch or 40 inch tire on my truck but what size lift would I need to put on to compensate for tire size.

Welcome to the site...38 to 40's are going to require a lot of lift; however, your biggest problem is going to be thay you only have a 1500. Tires that large are going to way overstress those axles. On a 1500 I would suggest 35's with a six inch lift.
