New GMC Sierra owner - some dumb questions

OK, my truck is 2WD and when compared to a 4WD truck probably sits at least a couple of inches lower - so I'm assuming that the air dam is the same for both trucks - So then when I remove my air dam, then the air that goes under my truck should be the same that goes under a 4WD truck with the air dam

Am I not correct - or at least close in this assumption ???

I recommend removal of that aggravating air dam thing!!!! I removed mine after I got caught on a piece of concrete and ripped the whole fog light assembly 1/2 off!!! I removed it last spring and have noticed no negative effects on my 2008 GMC Sierra. It's just a few rivets to remove and if you find you are having issues, it's really easy to put back on!!

    Just my two cents!!
