I have a 99 Suburban 5.7liter with 173,000 miles on it. The Service Engine Soon light came on, scanned it & 3 codes came up. P1870, P0748 & P0719 Any ideas on what I should do. It shifts hard between 1st & 2nd.

Hi, and welcome to the site!:glasses: Glad to have you here! I hope another member can help you with the codes that you have pulled from the scanner. Good Luck!

    P0719 Torque Converter/Brake Switch B Circuit Low
    P0748 Pressure Control Solenoid Electrical
P1870 Trouble Code; "Transmission Componet Slippage"

So they all seem to be transmission issues which would explain the hard shifts. I unfortunately am innexperienced with the transmission stuff. Jimmie is the transmission guru on this site so hopefully he will be able to help you.
