My name is david. Im stationed in florida right now until i return to the civilian world next year. ive spent 8 years in the Navy working on aircraft and traveling around the world. I need to get back to that sweet country living. I just bought a 2006 Chevy 2500 HD 4x4. This truck has an 8.1 in it so i might be posting something later on how to get better gas milage. Thanks.

wow! thats an engine! Is the cubic inches a measurement of the volume of the cylinder? I always thought cubic inches was a measurement of the entire engine block. Sorry if my question is naive or elementary.

It's both B-rad. His total cubic inches for all 8 cylinders is 494 with each cylinder making up 61.75 cu. in. of the total, & you're right, it IS BIG :)
