    im not real sure how many cu. in. i havent seen the truck yet, except for pictures, because im still overseas for about 2 more weeks. my wife and father in law went and picked it up for me.

    edit* David there are 61.023744 cu ins per liter, so your 8.1 liters is 494 cubic inches.

    wow! thats an engine! Is the cubic inches a measurement of the volume of the cylinder? I always thought cubic inches was a measurement of the entire engine block. Sorry if my question is naive or elementary.

    It's both B-rad. His total cubic inches for all 8 cylinders is 494 with each cylinder making up 61.75 cu. in. of the total, & you're right, it IS BIG :)
