My name is Mike, I live in Indpls, IN. Just purchased my first 4 wheel drive truck. 1998 Z 71, 86,000 miles very well taken care of. I know nothing about driving, using, or maintaining a 4 wheel drive truck. I need tires immediatly, will be posting asking for advice here. Looking for a tire that is reasonably quiet, but good in the snow, this will be my daily driver, so I am looking for some comfort too. Can't wait for that first big snowfall.

Welcome to the G M T C ! Sounds like you found a low mileage truck, for a '98. Lots of good truck folk who are glad to share around here.

Welcome aboard and congratulations on a great find! The 98 models do not require a lot of maintenance and properly cared for will last well over 200,000 miles.

Welcome to the club, Mike. You said you know nothing about maintaince on a 4x4. Since you just purchased the truck I would change the transfer case and axle fluids along with other normal things like air, fuel and transmission filters. Check the spark plugs, if you replace them use A/C Delco's. GM's just seem to run/like A/C's. Don't forget to grease the from suspension and drive shaft u-joints.
