Finally was able to dump the Mini Van for a truck.

I purchased a VERY well taken care of 1999 Suburban K1500. It has 204xxx miles on it but I'm confident that it was a good buy.

First thing I'll be doing is draining the oil and replacing it and the filter. You never know what's in there.

Unfortunately, thats about the extent (well not quite that bad) of my mechanical knowledge. But I plan on doing as much maintenance and repair as I can. So I hope to get as much help as possible from you folks here.

    Anyway, glad to be here!

    Dan

Welcome! Hope it runs good for you! High mileage vehicles are a gamble but sometimes they pay off! I thought my motorcycle was a great deal till I threw a rod two weeks ago!

Welcome to the club, Dan. Don't forget to change the fuel filter, there often overlooked by some owners.
