    Welcome! :great:

Good looking truck. I have a question, though -- when you say 'color-matched' emblems ... are you matching to your chrome, your black, or your red? (You're basically running three colors and those are they.) I am asking because red on red might be impossible to see.

    Thanks SurrealOne!

To be honest, i'm still trying to figure that out. I was actually thinking black at first, but then I thought about red. I know if I went red I would leave the black outline around the front bow-tie and the chrome outline on the rear one. Do you have a suggestion? I need all the help I can get!

Look at your pic in this thread. Follow the chrome from back to front. It moves from rear wheels, down the nerf bars, to the front wheels, and then to the headlights and fog lights. Billet chrome might be a good way to go. (I think AMI makes them, too.)

Also notice that everywhere you have chrome you have black very close to it providing contrast. (Black wheels on chrome rims. Black steps on chrome or polished stainless nerf bars. Black lines in the chrome headlights.) If you went with a chrome emblem it might provide contrast with your black grille ... and also tie the center nose of the truck in with the chrome you have down the sides (in the already-mentioned forms).

Thanks for the reply! Billet Chrome is now back in the running. I totally agree with the contrast comments, other than the lighting in the picture is deceiving (cell phone cameras, gotta love 'em) grill inserts are actually chrome (a part of the Z71 Appearance Package) and not black..I was once worried about too much chrome with the addition of a chrome bowtie...but now you've got me thinking!

Here is a better picture of it out in the sunlight

You know what Cody, Surreal makes a great point.

And, billet chrome grille would look SWEET to pop over your grill now - check out this black truck (take note of the chrome bow-ties as well)

I think this would look AWESOME in red.....

The horizontal lines look great...put a chrome bow-tie in there and wow..that would really make it pop.
    Just some food for thought.

I found one on autoanything made by carriage works for $148.00. Remember, autoanything ALWAYS runs 10-15% off promotions with free shipping...could be a steal. Those chrome bow-ties are not expensive either.

You might consider those chrome mirror things that go on the bottom like what the escalades have. Joey's got that stuff to help the 3m stick...won't be a problem...

Two colours is generally easy to do -- which is why you see a lot of white and red trucks that are blacked out ... or why you see a lot of black trucks that use minor chrome for contrast. Tastefully working with 3 colours (usually some base colour plus a mix of black and chrome/stainless) is generally tougher, as it's very easy to go too far with either the black or the chrome; they have to be balanced.

You've got a really good balance going for you, right now, down the sides. If you can subtly duplicate it on the nose and arse of the truck it'll be rockin!

Food for thought: Aftermarket Z71 decals exist -- and they are cheap! The red Z on red truck is tough to read. Debadging is one route but a tweaked aftermarket Z71 sticker might also be considered. (Be careful, though. Decals are one place where it can get very busy ... very quickly.)

You could go this route too? No Bull Bar.

'13 LTZ Grille with the mesh painted black, black bow tie? That might be be cool. I gotta say my vote is for the chrome billet grille/bowtie...I think that would look really sharp and clean.
