I have always owned ford trucks and have had good luck with them. But I figured what the hell you only live once. So I traded my 2000 f150 4x4 on 39.5 inch interco superswampers for a 2002 chevy avalanche. I guess I have a couple of questions for everyone. On my title it says my avalanche is a ex police vehicle I snapped a few pics of the interior of the truck. It has what looks to be a antenna on the windshield idk if this has something to do with the on star?. Also my truck has 158000 miles on it is there any preventative maintenance I should do?. And this truck has the 5.3 vortec the truck has been well cared for how long do you think this truck will last me?. I also have a 1965 chevy chevelle 2 door with a numbers matching 283 2 speed powerglide transmission also has original paint. It was my fathers car and he passed away so it was handed down to me so I guess you can call me a ford-chevy guy lol. Sorry for the crooked pictures I'm not sure why there like that or how to fix it.

Could be for remote start I never thought of that. Another question I'm only getting 13mpg is there anyway I can make my truck do any better?. Cause its kind of sad when my 1970 7.0 429 big block ford is getting 14.

I have been easy on my right foot. I'm thinking that the poor gas mileage is because its been -10 -20 up here in northern WISCONSIN. I'm only hoping that maybe the gas mileage goes up when it warms up outside or I might trade it in on something else.

I would say go ahead and change your plugs, run some Lucas Injection system cleaner, pull out and brush off your O2 sensors, clean your MAF sensor and you'll be good to go.
