So i just noticed this today, i think its happened like 5 times or so today, as i start the truck up after it turns over and everything i hear i kicking sound on my passenger side sounds kind of like its hitting the fire wall, no idea what it is the truck just hit 120,000 miles today, going to be doing an oil change soon and switching to synthetic but im not sure if thats the best way to describe the sound the start up is fine just dont know what the noise is about?

Have someone start your truck while you look under the hood so you can watch and listen to get more info on the sound.

Maybe you have a midget soccer player living under your hood and the starting of the engine angers him?
I would check the motor and transmission mounts, then maybe the exhaust.

Does it do it the entire time??? It sounds to me like your blend door on your HVAC system. I have had 2 of my trucks do this they would pound 2 to 10 times then it would stop and eveything would be nice and quite and operate like normal till i shut it down and restarted again...

That usually makes a couple thumps then a high pitched squeeling noise for a few seconds then goes quiet.
Just ask my wife about her Jeep, took 2 hours with a pressure washer to get it all cleaned out from under the hood.
