hey guys i have a 2004 silverado 1500 with 5.3 and 4x4. just put a new water pump in and hopped back in the truck to find the odometer not working. it was before. i did disconnect the battery before starting the pump. all other gauges and lights are working, found no codes in the system. buttons on steering wheel for info center are not working. please help i'd rather the wife didn't hit me for wrecking her truck.

Try disconnecting the battery for an hour... This should reset the computer... Then connect it back up and see if that works... Thats the only thing I can think to try...

Thanks i'll give it a shot. its just weird that it happened now. i didn't even have to touch anything electrical to do the water pump except for the battery
