off-the-shelf fuel injector cleaners???

    Any body use the off-the-shelf fuel injector cleaners??? (the ones you add to a tank of gas)

    Do they relaly work?

    Just curious...

    Yes, if you buy a quality one they work. Techron Plus( by Chevron )is probably the best on the market. Seafoam is another good one.

    x2 on the seafoam! I have used it in all my vehicles, and my dad's, and my in-laws, and my bro's.....You get the picture!!!. It works well.

    I've tried RPX and have seen good results from that as well. Harder to find nationally though. It's essentially very similar to seafoam.

    SNAKE OIL, in my opinion, with today's quality oils and fuel, there is no need for any of that.

    studies still show there is carbon build up that you get better combustion if that carbon can be cleaned out. You don't need the cleaner added to a clean fuel system, but when added to an older vehicle, MPG can be raised back to where it should be.

    Seafoam or straight acetone.

    I have used Seafoam with good results as well. I've also had good results with the BG products.
