Has anyone here installed offroad lights or extra driving lights on a suburban front bumper without a brushguard? I really want to put some on but im not sure of placement and I wanted to see what other people had done first. sorry this really should be in the overall apearance category.

I have not, but I would think it could be somewhat tough, because the bumper is pretty thin. You may want to use a piece of sheet steel or something on the backside of the bumper for additional thickness and stability. Wiring them up should be fairly easy, just use a relay since those lights pull a good bit of power. Keep us updated as to how it goes.

Are you looking for fog lights, or off-road lights?

The best lights I ever installed were a coupple of KC daylighters on the front bumper to my 1977 Jeep CJ5. That was a nice ride.

I'm thinking foglights. Big round offroad lights would probably just look goofy on the front of the suburban. But I'm also concerned that the fog lights will just get ripped off from any offroading I do. Maybe I just won't put any on at all so I don't have to worry about it.

If you install a bumper off a diesel you will have two nice protected holes with which to install rectangular lights. Some aftermarket bumpers will allow round lights to be used. Neither option requires a bar.
