GMC 3500 duramax. The oil gauge drops to 0!! Sometimes it pops back up, other times it stays there for a while the goes back to normal. I've tried 4 GM dealers -they can't figure it out. Does anyone have any ideas?

What model year is your vehicle? I would be happy to look into this for you as well. Please feel free to contact me with more information, including your VIN, via private message and I will be able to take further steps. Thank you in advance.

I'd say it's most likely just the stepper motor for the gauge going out.... But I'd stick a mechanical gauge on it to double check...
