Oil pressure gauge

I had this issue on my 97 Suburban and on my 07 Yukon XL. When I'm at a stop the oil pressure gauge drops below half. When I accelerate it goes up over half. Is this normal?

Once the engine warms up, the oil pressure will drop a little bit and fluctuate a little because the oil has gotten warm and thinner, so it takes more work to achieve a high pressure. What are the actual psi numbers that it gets to on the gauge?

As long as you have fluctuation in the guage at idle and when you step on the gas that is fine. It is normal for it to rise with RPMS and drop at idle as long as you never get below 6PSI at idle (on the 97 on the 07 i have no clue since that is a newer motor)
