I know all my build codes are located on a tag in the glove box of my 99 Silverado but which one is the code for the exterior of the truck. Mine is a metallic gold. Can someone out there let me know what the code is for mine or at least show me which number is the paint code number?

The Paint Code for........Gold Metallic is 60/ WA398E....when looking at the White Sticker in your Glove box.......the WA398E Code will be at the Base/Bottom of Sticker.

    The 1999" G.M. Color Paint Code's
    Pewter Metallic Clearcoat 11/WA382E
    Indigo Metallic Clearcoat 39/WA9792
    Black Clearcoat 41/WA8555
    Emerald Green Metallic Clearcoat 43/WA177B
    White Clearcoat 50/WA8624
    Gold Metallic Clearcoat 60/WA398E
    Smokey Carmel Metallic Clearcoat 65/WA333D
    Meadow Green Metallic Clearcoat 68/WA566F
    Meadow Green Metallic Clearcoat 68/WA507F
    Copper Metallic Clearcoat 69/WA381E
    Bright Red 72/WA7475
    Red Clearcoat 74/WA9260
    Gray Metallic Clearcoat 90/WA8798
    Medium Red Metallic Clearcoat 94/WA9088
    Spectre Gray Metallic (bumper) WA9428
    Shadow Gray (Interior) 821
Sparkle Silver Metallic (Wheel Color) WA9967

The 1st part of the Paint Code is a Reference to the RPO Code like.....50U or 50L.....the U stands for Upper Color and the L stands for Lower Color.

Edit:....Here is the.....Service Part ID Sticker located in your Glove shows where the Paint Codes are on the Sticker,
