Painted bowtie, removed pin-strip

    I finally removed the pin-strip and painted the bowtie silver!...I hate gold...

    Looks good man! Great job on the bowtie! It looks like one of the billet ones you can buy for $40+! What kind/color of paint did you use?

    That looks great man! I have been thinking about doing that to mine since I have read how to do it on here.

    I used Krylon Fusion silver metallic color and Krylon clear glaze. I did 4 light coats of the color to make sure there were no runs and waited about 30 - 45 minutes in between each coat. Same with the clear glaze. The can says that one coat of the glaze is the equivilant of 3 coats of clear coat. I also let the bow tie sit over night to make sure everything was dry completly. I think everything turned out really well and it only cost me 5 bucks.
