    Just making sure...didn't want you mad at me for sanding the base coat.

    I didn't like the way most of the parts turned out,so I redid them. The reason for not being happy was that I was able to see the texture of the plastic come through the base coat.As you can see on the last pic. The engine cover is the only part that was not redone for lack of time. I was using a Preval paint sprayer for the first attempt. I thought I was laying the base coat down fairly thick. But after I was done I realized the opposite was true. So this time I used a spray gun I bought from Lowe's. I also used a better clear coat on 3 of the 4 parts. I also used more coats of high build primer. I think it was about 6 coats and sanded with 600 grit to make sure it was smooth to both the touch and the eye. Enough hot air time for the pics.
