my buddy said he could get a guy at his dealership to paint front and rear bumper color matched to my truck for $275 which sounds really good considering what other people have told me. Do you guy's think this is a damn good deal because i've heard cost $300 for one from others help is needed thanks, Jake.

If thats to strip the chrome and paint to match that's a good price. Just make sure hes not using a cheap clear coat. If ours a cheap clear it will fade before the rest of your truck.

I doubt they would use a cheap clear coat being that i'm getting it done at the dealership i bought the truck from and it's also a chevy dealer.

I am with sstoner. If they prep it right and use good quality supplies it sounds good. But if it is like all the Macco comercials on tv than I would say don't do it.

No it want be done cheap at all guys. The guy's doing it works at the dealership and i know them really well. They even help me out with anything i need to get put on incluing my nerf steps and helped me for free. I am getting them to install my nitto terra grapplers this weekend and tighten my whole suspension for $20 so i get good deals. My buddy said he would take the front/rear bumper off and the painter would strip the chrome off and mix up some paint to match and prep and paint and after use a couple coats of some clear. lol this isn't being done by just some random person at there house lol i wouldnt dare trust anyone like that!

That sounds like a sparkling deal Jake. Most of the labor involved is getting the chrome off (one bitch of a job to do that) I think that's an excellent price considering shop labor rates, & since it's a dealer you've dealt with before, they're not going to do a crappy job. They have their reputation to protect.:great:

yeah man sometimes i wonder how much i save on my buddy working at the dealership and hookin me up on deals. The thing is i help them out and myself out by most time they do it on the weekend there at the dealership so they get too kepp the money themselves instead of just getting paid by the hour. I think this is really smart and helps both the customer and the worker doing the work!

Not sure about painting cost. I had both of mine powdercoated for 150.

Can't wait to see some pics of the truck when it's done. Make sure you get some of that new Z71 sticker up there too!
