has anyone had any problems with the weatherstrip not sealing on the passenger side door? 03 extended cab, tried sealing with silicone under the strip & was wondering if there were any better fixes

I would check the adjustment of the door. It might be poor fitment that is causing improper sealing with the weatherstrip. Look for even panel gaps around the perimeter, & the edges should be an even height "out" (flush) with the surrounding panels.
