    Hello All,

I have a left over PF 46 oil filter from my 04 Silverado 5.3. Can the PF 46 interchange with the PF 48 filter on my 10 Burban 5.3? Is there really any difference? They look to be the same size...

Check the diameter of the gasket. If they're the same and the thread is the same, you're good to go.

Their should be a letter stamped on the filter by the threads where is screws onto the engine. For example they used to be G's if they are both the same you can use it.

The PF 46 has a "G" and the PF48 has "ZZ"... I guess they are not equivalent.
